IncontinenceI have noticed in the past year that there seems to be more instances of urinary incontinence being mentioned.
I myself have had the problem with a baby male charcoal.
It seems to affect mainly male chinchillas - and it is believed to be a congenital defect.
There is no cure.

I state that is appears to be rare - well I am beginning to rethink that.
It is not possible to state anything for certain - but statistically it may affect more chins than I first thought.
Only by NOT breeding from any chins that have had affected kits - and removing suspect bloodlines from the gene pool can we effectively eradicate this problem.
