Chinchilla showsI was wondering if any of you are going to the chin shows if you are which ones.
I would love to meet up with you if you are going.
It was nice to talk to Emma at the show on Sunday.

I will be going to the Bugbrooke shows but I doubt I will make all the Birdwell shows its a loooong trip  I should be going to the November one tho!

yes it is sam.
We will be going down on the saturday and staying over in a lodge then driveing back Monday morning.
it is such a long drive for us and we usually only go down that far for the big Natinal shows.It costs a bomb for us each time we go to shows.

Yes and it's Ron Gardner Judging.
If entering be there early to groom up and enter your chinchilla/s
If not entering it's still wise to go early as you will see lots of the top breeders grooming chins. Worth a look just to get experience. Most breeders don't mind you going over and having a chat while they groom. Just dont touch their chinchillas in their show cages lol.
That's a sin to do that

It is a sin mum to touch them in the show cages.
I can mind Dave grooming the chins up and this person came along and stuck their sticky fingers into chins fur 
Sam you will learn a lot going to the shows and talking to all the big breeders and its a good day out.

look forwarsd to seeing you thee Sam - but be wartned it can be boring! you have to make your own entertainmenret chatting to people - but not when the judge is giving the comments at end of each class

ok mum shall take my camera if i remmeebr - but you tend to get glared at when you take pictures- and peoiple run off with the winners too fast to get a good shot <G>

One pic I have often hoped for is.............
NOT the pic of the top chin, have had lots of pics like that before from Aileen. Even Aileen doesn't fuss much now about taking pics of her winners and awards lol.
Not the judges, <smile> seen lots of them too.
I have asked so many times for a more expansive pic taken from back of hall.
To show non NCS members how popular the shows are and then we might have more people take an interest in shows etc.
Could do with new young blood coming in to support the shows in later years. By that time you may just be a senior judge yourself glowering at the people taking flash pics while you judge.
No-one would mind you taking a pic like that surely. Not upsetting the judges.
Most members will be sitting with backs to you, so no problem there.
