How to care for your rabbits in the warm weather.
Try and have the hutch in a cool shaded area in your garden.
Line the outside of the hutch with thick polysterne to help keep heat out and heat in ,in the winter months.
If you can, add a ventilation hole opposite the main entrance (covered with fine mesh) to allow air to flow through.
Keep hutch very clean to avoid fly strike
Add ice to bottles and add to inside of the hutch.
Add ice to water bottles so water stays cooler for longer.
Keep frozen bottles of water in the freezer to cool the air around your rabbit.
Don't clean your rabbit out when very warm wait till night.
Make sure all urine is removed as it will cause humidity and the release of ammonia in the heat is toxic to your rabbit.
If the sun does shine on the hutch then cover with a big umberella to shade the hutch from the hot sun.
Keep a thermometer outside teh hutch to keep an eye on the temps.
Hose hutch down with hose if the hutch is warm.
If you cant get temp down in Hutch move rabbit too in doors.
